Since childhood, I have enjoyed art as part of my form of expression, from dance, to theatre, to drawing, to painting. 

I grew up in one of the most colorful regions of Mexico—a region with an incredible cultural richness where the landscape, gastronomy, architecture, crafts, and the beauty of its people provide an abundant source of inspiration. 

However, it was not until the beginning of 2020 that painting became part of my daily routine. I feel fortunate to be able to dedicate a big part of my day to creative exploration.

My main inspiration is life itself which manifests infinitely: the majesty of a mountain, the grace of a dog, the beauty of a flower, the depth of a feeling, the power of a word, the magic of a smile, the plenitude of laughter, the attitude of a cat, the sensation of sand under my feet. 

I’m deeply engaged in this opportunity to explore in solitude an array of elements of different textures, shapes, lights, shadows, depth, layers, colors, and values while getting to know the mind that perceives them.

In addition to my work with materials, I am a teacher of Buddhist dharma, vipassana meditation, and a translator of books.
